WWI British Tank Crew (4 figures) 1:35 is a set of four unassembled plastic figures of a British tank crew of the First World War from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set contains four injection-molded plastic figures of British tank men of the First World War in 1:35 scale. The package holds one officer and three members of a tank crew, some thirty parts in all. The figures are meant to be assembled and painted and will go excellently with a diorama featuring early British tanks such as the Mark IV or the Mark V.
British tank crews of the Great War served inside the ponderous armored vehicles that first appeared on the battlefield in 1916 at the Somme. The crews wore overalls, leather helmets and often chainmail masks protecting the face from the splinters that flew off the armor when it was hit. Working in the baking, deafening and smoke-filled interior of a tank was among the hardest jobs at the front.
Separate the parts carefully from the sprues and clean up the parting seams. Use thin cement for plastic on the joints, which runs into the seam by capillary action. For a natural look to the uniforms, a base coat from an airbrush followed by picking out the folds with oils or a wash works well. Faces come out best with a technique of gradually lightening the skin tones.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
