Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic set in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. According to its name it holds a Vickers machine gun and two figures of a British crew from the period of the First World War. It is not a model of a vehicle or an aircraft: it is an accessory for dioramas and vignettes that gives a scene both scale and action. The exact composition of the sprues and the number of parts are given on the box.
The Vickers machine gun was a British water-cooled heavy machine gun in .303 caliber, introduced into service shortly before the First World War. The weapon was worked from a tripod mount and the barrel cooling jacket was connected by a hose to a water container, which allowed it long sustained fire. The design proved itself so well that it stayed in service for decades. The crew consisted of a pair, or a larger team, which carried the tripod mount, ammunition and accessories besides the weapon.
First rid the figures carefully of the mold parting lines, as in small scales a mold seam across a face or across a fold of a uniform is more visible than anything else. Lay the base down with an airbrush and work the faces and hands up with a brush and oil paints, which blend for a long time and forgive mistakes. Let the uniform khaki be lightened slightly on the raised places and darkened in the folds. Build the machine gun with an eye to keeping the tripod mount and the barrel in line, and leave the cooling jacket flat, so that it does not look like polished metal.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
