1:35 WWI German MG08 MG Team is a plastic kit of two figures of a German machine gun crew of the First World War with an MG08 machine gun and equipment, in 1:35 scale from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic set in 1:35 scale from the maker ICM contains two figures of German machine gunners of the First World War period, together with a model of the MG08 heavy machine gun and a generous selection of infantry weapons and equipment. New molds with fine detail let you build the crew either on its own or as part of a trench diorama. Paints and glue are not included.
The MG08 was the standard German heavy machine gun of the First World War, derived from the Maxim design; it was served by a team of soldiers and was the backbone of defensive fire in the trenches. The figures capture the typical stance of the gunner and his assistant at the gun on its sledge mount.
The parts of the figures and of the machine gun are laid out clearly on the injection-molded sprues and are bonded with liquid cement for plastic. We recommend a primer, then the field gray of the uniforms in acrylics, and weathering with washes and pigments for a muddy trench look. The metal parts of the weapons come off well with dry-brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
