This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from ICM represents the Soviet mobile repair vehicle MTO-AT on the chassis of the three-axle off-road truck ZIL-131 (6x6). The model offers a well-detailed engine bay under a tilting hood, the drive train and the chassis, as well as the box-bodied workshop superstructure. According to the manufacturer it contains several marking options.
The ZIL-131 was a versatile Soviet truck with all-wheel drive, built in many configurations for the army and for civilian use. The MTO-AT version served as a mobile technical workshop intended for maintenance and field repairs of vehicles and equipment directly in the field.
With military vehicles it pays to finish the engine, the chassis and the running gear before closing up the body. We recommend liquid cement for plastic, a primer base coat and spraying with an airbrush. For a faithful look use washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the chassis and the underside of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
