About product

French battleship Condorcet 1:350 (Hobby Boss)

Injection-molded plastic kit of the French battleship Condorcet in 1:350 scale from Hobby Boss. Besides the plastic parts the kit holds photo-etched parts, decals and metal items; the exact contents of the box are given in the instructions.

The real subject

The Condorcet was one of the Danton class battleships of the French Navy from the beginning of the twentieth century, counted among the so-called semi-dreadnoughts. During the First World War she served mainly in the Mediterranean, where she took part in blockade operations. She was driven by steam turbines and carried a heavy gun armament.

Building and painting tips

Decide whether you will build the ship with the full hull or only to the waterline. Bond the deck superstructures and the fine photo-etched railings with super glue and the plastic parts with thin plastic cement. The model shows well on a display stand; apply a primer before painting and use washes to bring out the detail.

Who the model is for

  • Collectors of ship models and of naval warships
  • Anyone interested in the French Navy of the First World War era
  • Modelers with experience of photo-etched parts
  • Admirers of the pre-dreadnought and semi-dreadnought era

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
