An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian Udaloy class destroyer in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. The model offers detailed superstructures, armament and radar equipment; a photo-etched part for the mast is usually included. The hull can be built as a full hull or as a waterline. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Destroyers of the Udaloy class (Project 1155) served the Soviet and then the Russian Navy above all as specialized anti-submarine vessels. They were marked out by a pair of funnels, extensive radar and sonar equipment, anti-submarine and anti-aircraft weapons and hangars for shipborne helicopters. They were among the largest Soviet destroyers of their day.
Decide whether you are building a full hull or a waterline. Glue the fine photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply the gray finish of the hull and the superstructures with an airbrush and bring out the deck and the detail with a wash and dry-brushing. Fit the radar antennas and the railings at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
