A gift set of the injection-molded plastic kit of the famous British ocean liner RMS Titanic in 1:400 scale from Revell, released for the 100th anniversary. Period printed reprints tend to be included as well. Check the exact contents against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
RMS Titanic was a British ocean liner of the White Star Line, at the time of her completion one of the largest and most luxurious ships in the world. On her maiden voyage from England to New York in April 1912 she struck an iceberg and sank, and over fifteen hundred people lost their lives. The disaster became one of the best known in the history of seafaring. The ship had four characteristic funnels.
Glue the parts with the cement for plastic enclosed. You build the hull complete, and for display you can use the stand supplied. Apply the basic paints enclosed with a brush; the black hull, the white superstructures and the yellow and black funnels are characteristic. Glue the deck detail and the ship's railings with care. Pick out the transitions and the texture of the decks with a fine wash, and finish by evening the surface out with a matte or satin varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. This gift set contains basic paints, a brush, glue and a stand.
