Injection-molded plastic kit of the Boeing 747-200 airliner in the unusual small 1:450 scale from Revell. Thanks to the tiny scale it is a compact and fairly quick build with a lower parts count — suitable as an addition to a collection of airliners or for beginners. Decals for an airline scheme are included.
The Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet was the first wide-body airliner in the world and, thanks to the characteristic hump of the forward upper deck, it became an icon of air travel. The 747-200 version offered longer range and a higher take-off weight than the original 747-100 and for decades took over the long-haul routes of the leading world airlines.
At a small scale cleanliness decides everything — sand down the mold seams and fill the fuselage joints so that they are invisible once painted. Spray the large light-colored areas with an airbrush over a primer for an even surface. Apply the airline decals over a smooth gloss base. The fine lines only need to be suggested discreetly — at this scale an overdone wash looks dirty.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
