This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from ICM contains a model of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 together with a set of figures. In the box you will find seven figures representing Luftwaffe pilots and mechanics, so that you can build a lively airfield scene. The model has a finely rendered DB 601 engine and finely engraved panel lines.
The Bf 109F was an aerodynamically refined version of the famous fighter, with smoother lines and better performance. The F-2 version was armed with a cannon firing through the propeller hub and was used from 1941 on both the Eastern and the Western Front. The figures of the personnel complete the period atmosphere of the ground crew.
Bond the model with liquid cement for plastic; the figures can be bonded with super glue. The uniforms and the flesh tones of the figures come into their own after a base color and light highlighting with oil paints or washes. The camouflage of the aircraft is usually in shades of aircraft gray with dark green fields.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
