Captured Heinkel He 111 H-20 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German bomber of the Second World War in the rendering of a captured machine, in 1:48 scale from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from the Ukrainian maker ICM in 1:48 scale captures the German Heinkel He 111 H-20 bomber in the form of a captured aircraft. The kit offers decals for several renderings of the machine in postwar Allied service, including a striking dark purple finish.
The Heinkel He 111 was one of the best known German medium bombers of the Second World War, characterized by its glazed nose. The H-20 version belonged to the late variants. The particular machine captured in this set was taken by American airmen at the end of the war, who flew it over and used it; it then passed into British hands, which ensured its survival.
The extensive glazing of the cockpit calls for careful masking and a clean gloss varnish. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Apply the striking purple finish with an airbrush over an even base and even the surface out with a fine patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
