Lockheed F-80C Shooting Star 1:48 from Hobby Boss — an injection-molded plastic kit of the early American jet fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the early American jet fighter Lockheed F-80C Shooting Star in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has a detailed cockpit and landing gear bays, a clear glazing part and photo-etched seat belts. Decals for two machines and a color painting guide are enclosed.
The Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star was the first American jet fighter used in regular operational service. It was marked by a clean straight wing and a cigar-shaped fuselage with side air intakes, the typical look of the early jets. The F-80C version made its mark in the Korean War, where the aircraft also took part in the first jet-versus-jet combats in history.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic, and the fine photo-etched belts with cyanoacrylate. A natural metal finish comes out best on a smooth base — careful sanding and polishing before the metal paint pays off. Mask the canopy glazing before spraying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
