A set of injection-molded plastic figures in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The set focuses on the ground personnel of the German Luftwaffe of the Second World War – crew, mechanics and supporting figures that will bring any aviation diorama to life. The figures add an authentic field airfield scene to a model of a fighter or a bomber.
The operation of the Luftwaffe stood or fell with the work of the ground personnel. Mechanics, refuelers and technical crew prepared the aircraft for takeoff, topped up fuel and ammunition and looked after the engines. The figures capture period working uniforms and gear and faithfully convey the everyday bustle around the machines, so that they turn an ordinary model into a telling scene.
Cut the parts off the sprues carefully and clean the joints up. Glue the figures first and treat them with a primer, then paint in layers – faces and hands with a brush, uniforms with a base coat and glazes over it. Drybrushing will bring out the folds of the cloth and the details of the gear. Smaller accessories can be finished with pigments for the effect of dust from the airfield apron.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
