An injection-molded plastic model of the German transport aircraft Gotha Go 244B-2 in 1:48 scale from the production of the Ukrainian brand ICM. It is the powered version of the Go 242 cargo glider with its characteristic twin-boom design and a roomy cargo nacelle. The set offers a detailed cockpit with an instrument panel as well as the rear defensive gun position, and in the box you will find decals for several marking variants.
The Go 244 came into being by converting the successful Go 242 glider, which a pair of radial engines gave power of its own. The aircraft carried cargo as well as troops and its nacelle opened at the rear for easy loading. The B-2 version was based on the Go 242B airframe and differed in the form of the landing gear. Its use was limited, yet it is an interesting and technically unusual piece of aviation history.
Glue the parts with a liquid modeling cement for plastic and mask the glazing of the canopy before painting. It pays to paint and shade the interior of the nacelle and the cockpit before the fuselage is closed. Apply a base coat (a primer) before painting, put thin coats on with an airbrush and mask the transitions of the camouflage; level the large surfaces of the wings carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
