The ICM I-153 China Guomindang AF Fighter 1:48 is a plastic kit of the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 Chaika biplane fighter in Chinese markings.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. It represents the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 Chaika biplane fighter in the version with the national insignia of the Chinese nationalist (Guomindang) Air Force. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit with decals for these markings.
The I-153 Chaika was the last and most advanced of the family of biplane fighters from the design office of N. N. Polikarpov. It was distinguished by an upper wing cranked into a gull shape and, unusually for its day, by retractable landing gear. The machines were committed to combat at the end of the 1930s and the beginning of the 1940s on several battlefields, and the Chinese nationalist Air Force used them against Japanese aggression.
A biplane calls for careful assembly of the interplane struts and for rigging where needed. Paint the cockpit and the engine before closing the fuselage. Use thin cement for plastic, spray on a primer and paint with an airbrush; accent the fine panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
