An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Junkers Ju 88 bomber in the A-4 Torp version in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The model captures the glazed nose, the engine nacelles and the torpedo armament of this multipurpose machine. The package contains injection-molded plastic parts and clear parts for the canopy; the exact contents are stated by the manufacturer.
The Junkers Ju 88 was a German twin-engine combat aircraft of the Second World War period, deployed in the bomber, dive-bombing, reconnaissance and night fighter roles. The A-4 version was one of the widespread bomber variants, and in the torpedo-carrying conversion it could carry aerial torpedoes under the fuselage for attacks on shipping targets.
Before closing up the fuselage we recommend finishing the interior of the cockpit. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and glue the clear glazing with a cement intended for it. For a faithful look an airbrush and a fine accentuation of the panel lines with a wash work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
