An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Dassault Mirage F1 jet fighter in 1:48 scale from Italeri. The boxing makes it possible to build the aircraft in the C fighter version and in the CR reconnaissance version alike. The model captures a single-engine aircraft with a conventional swept wing mounted high on the fuselage. Check the exact contents of the box, the external stores and the number of decal schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Mirage F1 was a French single-engine fighter with an Atar series turbojet and, for its day, an unusual high-mounted swept wing, which gave it good takeoff characteristics and range. The C version served as an interceptor and the CR version as a tactical reconnaissance aircraft. The Mirage F1 flew with the French Air Force and with a number of foreign users and was used in several armed conflicts.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints and the leading edges carefully. Paint the cockpit and pick out its detail before closing it up; attach the clear canopy with canopy glue. Assemble the drop tanks and the armament separately. Apply primer before painting and cover with an airbrush. The French aircraft wore blue-gray camouflage as well as desert schemes; after the gloss varnish and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add service wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
