The Polish brand Answer concentrates on subjects connected with Polish aviation that the big manufacturers do not offer; with kits of this kind reckon on dry fitting the parts and filling the joints. The manufacturer states neither the number of parts, the extent of the box nor the number of marking options.
The PZL W-3 Sokol is the first helicopter of its category developed in Poland. It has two engines, a four-blade main rotor and a roomy cabin, so it serves for carrying troops, for medical and rescue flights and for patrol duty. The machines were supplied to military as well as civil operators, including foreign ones, and it was civil service that gave the helicopter the most colorful finishes that can be seen on it. The helicopter remains in service to this day and has gone through several modernizations.
On a helicopter it is the accurate seating of the tail boom and the rotor head that matters; dry fit both parts and check the axis. Finish the interior and the cabin glazing before you close the fuselage up, because the glazing is large and once it is in place you cannot reach inside. A civil finish is usually painted in gloss color, so smooth the surface first and apply the paint in thin coats. Glue the rotor blades on last and check that they all have the same angle.
