An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:48 scale from ICM. The box contains injection-molded plastic, a clear canopy part and a decal sheet; the model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the most famous fighters of the Second World War. The Mk.IX version was created by installing a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine in an airframe derived from the Mk.V, in order to face the new German fighters. It became one of the most widespread and most successful variants and served on many fronts.
Paint and fit the cockpit and the instrument panel before you close up the fuselage. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and glue the clear canopy with a glue for clear parts, so that the glazing does not go dull. Apply a primer and lay the British camouflage schemes down with an airbrush and careful masking.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
