Spitfire Mk.VIII in 1:48 scale from ICM is a plastic kit of the British fighter of the Second World War in the long-range variant with a powerful engine.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM captures the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.VIII variant in 1:48 scale. The set offers fine surface detail, a well-worked cockpit, clear parts and a decal sheet with period markings. It is a rewarding and well-built model of a classic fighter.
The Spitfire Mk.VIII was created as a planned production version with a powerful Merlin series engine and a range of structural improvements over the earlier types. It was marked by a retractable tailwheel and, in tropicalized form, it was adapted for service in hot climates. It served on many fronts, including the Mediterranean and the Pacific area.
Paint and fit the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Use liquid cement on the plastic and sand the seams carefully. Apply the paints with an airbrush over a base coat, and use masks or liquid masking fluid for the British schemes; apply the decals over a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
