ICM WWII German Torpedo Trailer is a plastic kit in 1:48 scale representing a German aerial torpedo of the Second World War together with its transport and loading trailer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM represents a German aerial torpedo of the Second World War period together with the trailer on which the torpedo was moved and hung under torpedo bombers. It is a new tooling with fine surface detail. The package contains parts for building both the torpedo and the trailer and offers several color options.
German aerial torpedoes of the F5 family were carried during the war by the torpedo bomber versions of aircraft such as the Heinkel He 111 and the Junkers Ju 88. The torpedoes were brought to the aircraft on low wheeled trailers that made handling and hanging them under the fuselage easier. The model is a rewarding addition to airfield and harbor dioramas and also stands on its own as an example of period aerial armament.
Cut the parts from the sprues with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and lay the shades themselves on with an airbrush or a brush. The cylindrical body of the torpedo calls for careful sanding of the seam. Weathering and traces of use can be brought out with washes and pigments on the metal and running parts of the trailer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
