The 1:700 CH-53E (3 airplanes per box) set from Trumpeter holds models of the American heavy transport helicopter CH-53E in 1:700 scale, meant above all for the decks of ship models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a small plastic set in the ship scale of 1:700. The package holds three pieces. The typical use follows from the scale: machines this small are not built as a display piece of their own but complete the flight deck of a model of an amphibious assault ship or a harbor diorama.
The CH-53E Super Stallion is an American heavy transport helicopter that differs from the vast majority of machines in its class by having three engines. That made it the most powerful Western-built helicopter and set it up for tasks where elegance does not matter but lifting capacity does: carrying guns, vehicles and slung loads, recovering downed aircraft and supplying units put down far from base. It serves from amphibious ships and from land, and its folding main rotor blades and folding tail boom allow it to be stowed in the hangar below deck.
In 1:700 the cleanliness of the work matters more than the number of details. Take the parts off with a sharp scalpel, sand the sprue gates and leave out any heavy coat of paint, which loses the shape at this scale. A sprayed primer, a fine dark line in the recesses and dry brushing with a lighter shade on the edges all work well. The models are glued to the deck with super glue and completed with the markings of the landing spots.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
