A plastic kit of the British battleship HMS Dreadnought as she was in 1915, in 1:700 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The hull is done by multi-axis molding and can be built as a full hull. The package holds photo-etched parts, a base with a nameplate and a decal sheet.
HMS Dreadnought was the groundbreaking British battleship completed in 1906. With her combination of a uniform heavy gun armament of 305 mm caliber and steam turbines she overshadowed all the battleships built until then so thoroughly that she gave her name to a whole new category of ships (the dreadnought). During the First World War she rammed and sank a German submarine, among other feats.
Glue the fine photo-etched parts of the masts and the railings with super glue, and protect your breathing when sanding. Paint the deck and the hull with an airbrush in the period British gray scheme, and accent the engraving of the deck with a thin wash. Seat the model in the stand supplied; a suitable accessory is a set of photo-etched railings, which can be bought separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
