Plastic kit of the Soviet twin-engine turboprop transport aircraft Antonov An-8 in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Amodel. It is a short-run injection-molded model of larger dimensions, meant rather for more experienced modelers. It is built from plastic parts and completed with decal markings according to the instructions.
The An-8 was a Soviet twin-engine turboprop military transport aircraft with a high-mounted wing and rear cargo doors. It served to carry cargo, equipment and paratroops and became one of the first Soviet aircraft designed specifically for this transport class. In the NATO reporting system it carried the name Camp.
On a larger model, pay attention to the fit of the fuselage and to the seating of the wing. Dry-fit the parts and clean up the mold seams, and mask the glazing. Use a base color and an airbrush on the large surfaces; lay a gloss clear coat down before the decals and even the surface out at the end to the sheen you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
