An injection-molded plastic kit of the American four-engine heavy bomber Consolidated B-24H Liberator in 1:72 scale from Airfix. This is a completely new tool that faithfully captures the characteristic features of the Liberator — the high-set slender Davis wing, the deep bomb bay and the twin vertical tail surfaces. The H version is marked by its front gun turret (the Emerson A-15), which improved defense against head-on attacks. The model offers two marking options.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War and at the same time the most numerously produced American aircraft of the period. It stood out for its long range and bomb load and was used in practically every theater. The B-24H version brought the Emerson front turret, which removed the weakness of earlier aircraft that were vulnerable to head-on attacks by enemy fighters.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and apply a primer before painting. Mask the extensive glazing and the gun turrets and spray with an airbrush. USAAF aircraft typically wore olive drab camouflage as well as natural metal finishes, and for the latter it pays to use metallic lacquers with the panels differentiated. Finish the turrets and glazing according to the instructions and the color schemes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
