Injection-molded plastic model of the German fighter-bomber Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7/B in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is a classic plastic kit to glue and paint. The exact contents of the package and the choice of markings are given in the enclosed instructions.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was the main German fighter at the start of the Second World War. The E-7 version received a strengthened airframe and the ability to carry stores under the fuselage. The B suffix denotes the fighter-bomber (Jabo): the machine could carry a bomb rack with one larger bomb or a carrier for several smaller bombs under the fuselage and was used for attacks on ground targets. The power came from a liquid-cooled inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine.
Paint and fit the cockpit and the framed canopy before you close up the fuselage. Assemble and paint the underfuselage bomb rack and the bombs separately and fit them at the very end. Apply the base coat over a primer with an airbrush; European camouflage will show best once the panel lines are picked out with a wash and restrained exhaust and dust weathering is added.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
