The BM-13-16 on the ZiL-131 chassis in 1:72 scale from ICM is a plastic kit of the Soviet rocket launcher, the successor to the legendary Katyusha.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM represents the Soviet BM-13-16 salvo rocket launcher mounted on the modern off-road ZiL-131 chassis. The kit in 1:72 scale holds plastic parts for the vehicle and for the launcher with its sixteen rails, and a decal sheet for period markings.
The BM-13 system made its name during the Second World War under the nickname Katyusha. Postwar modernization moved the proven launcher with its rails for 132 mm rockets onto the off-road ZiL-131 chassis with drive to all axles, which produced a mobile and dependable artillery vehicle with high cross-country ability.
Assemble the chassis, the cab and the launcher separately; deburr the rails of the launcher carefully for a precise fit. Use liquid cement on the plastic and apply the paints with an airbrush over a base coat. Weathering on the chassis and the tires is finished with a wash and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
