An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat light de Havilland DH.94 Moth Minor low-wing monoplane in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Special Hobby. The In war and peace over Europe and Africa boxing offers decal options for military as well as civil machines from wartime and peacetime. It is a simply conceived kit, suitable for less experienced modelers as well.
The Moth Minor was the successor of the legendary Tiger Moth biplane, this time conceived as a modern cantilever low-wing monoplane with an open cockpit for two sitting one behind the other. Around a hundred production machines were built at Hatfield before the outbreak of the Second World War, after which production moved to Australia. The type flew with civil flying clubs and in the service of the Australian and New Zealand air forces as a trainer and liaison machine.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and dry-fit the small joints before filling. Before painting, spray the whole model with a primer, which reveals any imperfections and unifies the base. The fine surfaces and the decal options come out well after spraying with an airbrush and applying a clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
