An injection-molded plastic model of the German Dornier Do 17Z-2 bomber in 1:72 scale from ICM. It is a modern tooling with finely engraved panel lines, a detailed interior and extensive nose glazing. The box contains decals for several finishes.
The Do 17 was a German twin-engined bomber, nicknamed the flying pencil for its slender fuselage. The Z-2 version was among the most widespread forms, with a glazed nose in which the whole crew was crammed together. The aircraft was committed in the opening phases of the Second World War, among other places during the Battle of Britain, and was later gradually replaced by more capable types.
Assemble and paint the cockpit interior before you glue the fuselage together - it will be clearly visible through the extensive nose glazing. Fit the clear parts at the end and mask their frames carefully. Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, then fill and sand the joints. Apply a base coat of primer before painting, spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats and bring out the details with washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
