The Model Set version adds the basic paints, a brush and glue to the model, so you can start building as soon as the box is open. The model is built as a static display model.
The F-15E grew out of the single-seat F-15 air superiority fighter as a machine for striking ground targets, especially in darkness and in poor weather. The crew consists of a pilot and a weapon systems officer seated in tandem. Compared with the fighter versions it received a strengthened structure, a substantially larger fuel load and payload, conformal fuel tanks hugging the sides of the fuselage, which also carry external stores, and equipment for precise navigation and targeting at night. At the same time it kept the ability to defend itself against air targets, so it is a genuinely multirole aircraft.
Finish the cabin for the two crew members before the fuselage is closed. Fill the joints of the intake ducts and of the conformal fuel tanks and sand them back, because after spraying every seam shows. The dark gray strike finish is single-colored, so bring it to life with a fine wash in the panel lines and a careful suggestion of wear. Leave the external stores to the end and decide in advance how many you want to carry, so that the model is not overloaded.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. In the Model Set edition the basic paints, a brush and glue are included in the package; other accessories are not.
