An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from ICM capturing the F-16AM fighter in Ukrainian Air Force markings. Besides the model itself, the box contains a set of PAG-14 airfield panels from which a parking apron can be built, and a decal sheet for Ukrainian machines. The model has the typical features seen on Ukrainian F-16s — additional antennas and podded equipment — and with them pylons with guided missiles.
The F-16AM is the modernized variant of the light multirole fighter F-16 Fighting Falcon brought up to the MLU (Mid-Life Update) standard. It is a single-engine supersonic aircraft with a characteristic bubble canopy and a belly air intake. The Ukrainian Air Force has used these machines in the defense of its airspace and against ground as well as air targets; they carry modern self-defense equipment and precision munitions.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, sand the joints down and coat them with a primer before spraying. An airbrush handles the gray camouflage and the transitions between shades best. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and unify the surface with a varnish at the end. Paint the PAG-14 airfield panels separately and use them as a base or as the foundation of a small diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
