This is a resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. The set offers a replacement propeller for the Italian Fiat G.50/bis fighter in 1:72 scale and is meant as an improvement to plastic kits of this subject. It contains the propeller blades with the hub cover (the spinner) cast in fine resin with a faithful shape and crisp edges, which tend to be softened on injection-molded plastic.
The propeller and its cover are among the most visible features of a fighter model. A resin replacement sharpens the profile of the blades as well as the shape of the spinner, and once painted it lifts the overall impression of the finished model markedly. The part is fitted in place of the original plastic propeller from the base kit.
Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts first, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Lay down a primer before painting; applying thin coats with an airbrush works well.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
