Fw 189C/V-6 is a plastic kit of a German attack aircraft prototype in 1:72 scale from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German experimental attack aircraft Focke-Wulf Fw 189C, specifically the sixth prototype of the series (V-6). The model in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Fw 189 was designed as a twin-engine reconnaissance aircraft with a characteristic twin-boom layout. The C version was to be the attack variant: the central nacelle was replaced by an armored cockpit for the pilot and the gunner. The Fw 189C/V-6 prototype was powered by two Argus As 410 engines and was tested at Rechlin in the fall of 1940. Despite decent results it never reached series production, which makes it an interesting and rarely seen subject.
The smaller scale and the fine parts call for careful cleanup and precise fitting of the glazed cockpit. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and fit the glazing only after the interior has been sprayed. A primer, an airbrush for the period camouflage and fine washes to bring out the panel lines are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
