An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous German dive bomber in 1:72 scale from Italeri. It captures the Ju 87B-2 and R-2 (Stuka) versions with their typical cranked wing and fixed spatted landing gear. The box holds parts in gray plastic, clear canopy glazing, a decal sheet and illustrated instructions. The kit offers two types of intake to tell the versions apart, plus parts for the bomb load and drop tanks, so you can build either a combat-loaded B-2 or the long-range R-2.
The Ju 87 Stuka was the main dive bomber of the Luftwaffe and a symbol of the blitzkrieg of its first period. The characteristic cranked wing and the fixed landing gear gave it an unmistakable silhouette, and in a dive attack it could drop its bombs with great accuracy. The B-2 version carried a bomb load, while the R-2 had greater range thanks to drop tanks. The Stuka became one of the best known and most feared weapons of its day.
Dry-fit the parts before gluing and decide which version and which intake you will use. Finish the cockpit first and only then close the fuselage. Use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush; mask the glazing before spraying and seat the fixed landing gear with its wheel spats precisely. German camouflage schemes come to life with soft transitions between shades, washes in the engraved lines and discreet weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
