The plastic kit Kaman UH-2A/B Seasprite in 1:72 scale from the Clear Prop Models brand: the American carrier helicopter of the navy with rich detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Kaman UH-2A/B Seasprite shipborne helicopter in 1:72 scale from the maker Clear Prop Models. It is a modern, richly detailed kit with fine engraved panel lines and riveting, a well worked cabin and photo-etched parts; it offers decals for several forms. Because of the amount of detail it belongs rather to the more advanced kits in its scale.
The Seasprite was a small shipborne helicopter developed by Kaman for the US Navy. It served on multirole duties from the decks of ships, from communications and transport to rescue at sea. The UH-2A version was an early general-purpose transport variant with a turboshaft engine, while the UH-2B version had more limited equipment for flying in good visibility. Its compact dimensions and folding rotor allowed it to operate even from small decks. The type later received a second engine and further modernization, but the early single-engined machines stay characteristic for their slender fuselage.
In 1:72 scale work with a sharp knife and thin cement, because the parts are small. Paint the cockpit and the cabin and fit the photo-etch before closing the fuselage, and mask the glazing and glue it on last. Build the rotor head and the blades carefully and symmetrically. For a faithful look choose a naval gray finish and add restrained rubbing and a fine emphasis to the lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
