ICM Ki-21-Ia RTAF 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese twin-engine bomber in the service of the Royal Thai Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
The plastic kit from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM represents the Japanese heavy bomber Mitsubishi Ki-21 in its Ia version, this time in the colors of the Royal Thai Air Force. The box holds injection-molded plastic parts and decal markings for Thai machines. The model thus brings a less known chapter of this aircraft's service closer.
The Mitsubishi Ki-21, given the Allied code name Sally, was a Japanese all-metal twin-engine heavy bomber. Several dozen of these machines were acquired by the Royal Thai Air Force in the prewar and wartime period, where they formed part of the bomber units. The Ki-21-Ia version was among the early production variants.
Paint the cockpit interior before you close up the fuselage. Use a thin cement on the joints and glue the clear parts carefully so that they do not fog. Painting masks will serve the glazing well. Apply the Thai colors and markings according to the instructions enclosed and pick out the detail with a subtle wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
