Injection-molded plastic model of the Japanese army fighter Nakajima Ki-27b in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The b version is the later production form of this agile monoplane with fixed landing gear; it differs from the early version in details, among them a reworked canopy and small points of equipment.
The Ki-27 (Allied code name Nate) was the main fighter of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force at the end of the 1930s. This light monoplane with fixed spatted landing gear stood out for its exceptional agility and did well in the fighting over China and Mongolia. The later Ki-27b version brought changes drawn from combat experience and stayed in service into the first years of the war in the Pacific, later mainly in the training role.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, and fill and sand the joints of the fuselage. The fixed spatted landing gear offers room for nice detail. Lay down a primer before painting. Metal areas will show best in shades of aluminum as well as in field camouflage. A gloss clear coat under the decals will keep their edges from lifting, and a matte clear coat will even out the final look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
