Responsibility details are not available.
This short-run multimedia kit captures the South African Marmon-Herrington Mk.II armored car in the ME version with a completely worked out interior. The kit from a Czech maker in 1:72 scale combines injection-molded plastic with a resin interior and photo-etched parts, and it offers several options of British markings.
The Marmon-Herrington was an armored reconnaissance car built in the Union of South Africa for the needs of the Commonwealth. The Mk.II ME (Middle East) version was adapted for use in the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean theaters. The cars served above all in the North African campaign, and their armament consisted of an antitank rifle and a Bren gun. Their simple, reliable construction made them a widespread Allied reconnaissance vehicle.
First assemble and paint the resin interior before you close the hull. Wash the resin free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off and bond with super glue; protect your breathing while sanding. Join the plastic with liquid cement. After a primer and airbrushing, bring out the riveted details and the chassis with washes and pigments for desert weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
