Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the historic Ford Model T automobile in the Commercial Roadster version of 1912, 1:24 scale, from ICM (Ukraine). The model captures the characteristic slender body of the vintage car with its open cab, a finely done engine and chassis. The tires tend to be molded in a light color, as matched the practice of the day. The box holds plastic and rubber parts, decals and instructions. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Ford Model T is held to be the first truly mass-produced automobile, which through assembly-line production opened motoring up to broad layers of society. It was driven by a simple and durable four-cylinder engine of about twenty horsepower. The Commercial Roadster version differed from the ordinary roadster in an added space for cargo or a second row of seats behind the folding roof, which made it a practical car for small tradesmen.
On a vintage car the contrast of black paint with wooden and brass details stands out — bring the chrome and brass parts, such as the lamps and the radiator, out with a suitable metallic paint. Assemble the slender chassis and the spoked wheels precisely so that the car stands level. Use a thin modeling cement on the plastic joints, and do not glue the rubber tires with liquid cement for plastic. An airbrush and a thin primer are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
