An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. It captures the PD interceptor version, that is the modernized interceptor with improved equipment. The box contains gray plastic sprues, clear parts and decals for building this massive jet with its twin vertical tails.
The MiG-25 was a Soviet high-speed fighter and reconnaissance aircraft designed to intercept fast, high-flying targets. It stood out for its enormous speed and ceiling, helped by a largely steel structure that withstood aerodynamic heating. The PD version was an interceptor with a modernized radar and engines, which extended the service of the type by a number of years.
Take care with a clean fit of the fuselage and the engine nacelles, which make up most of the bulk of the model. Paint the cockpit and the wheel wells before closing them up. Cold gray shades suit Soviet schemes; the panels can be picked out gently with a wash and a thinned shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
