An injection-molded plastic model of the Russian Mikoyan MiG-29 fighter in the finish of the Strizhi (the Swifts) display team in 1:72 from the brand Zvezda. The package contains gray and clear plastic parts and a decal sheet with the striking finishes of the display machines of the team, with the race numbers of their home base at Kubinka.
The MiG-29 is a twin-engine fourth-generation frontline fighter, valued for its high agility. The Strizhi display team uses it to fly aerobatic displays and to represent the Russian Air Force at home and abroad. The color schemes of the individual machines of the team are among the most attractive to spectators and make the model a rewarding display piece.
Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and fill and sand the joints of the fuselage carefully. Lay on a primer before painting and spray thin coats with an airbrush; the striking blue, white and red schemes of the team call for clean masking and a gloss base under the decals. Mask the cockpit glazing and fit it at the very end of the build.
