An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-15 jet fighter, nicknamed the Fagot, from Zvezda. The model is made up of gray plastic parts and clear parts for the cockpit, it contains a decal sheet, and the finished model reaches a length of around fourteen centimeters. It is a rewarding kit, suitable even for less experienced modelers.
The MiG-15 was a jet fighter from the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau of the late 1940s. With a swept wing and a powerful jet engine it became one of the most widely built combat jets in history; more than fifteen thousand were made and they served in dozens of countries. In combat it made its mark above all in the Korean War, where it commanded the respect of Western pilots.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic models, sand the joints back and apply a primer before painting. An airbrush works well on the smooth surfaces of the fighter; the typical look comes from the metal shades of bare duralumin, or from a camouflage scheme. Apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
