Responsibility details are not available.
A set of three injection-molded plastic kits in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The package contains the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 Type 18 fighter monoplane, the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 Chaika biplane and the Japanese Nakajima Ki-27a, that is three machines that stood against one another in the same fighting. Each kit has its own decal sheet.
Soviet and Japanese forces clashed at the Mongolian river Khalkhin Gol in 1939, and extensive air fighting was part of the conflict. The I-16 was a cantilever monoplane with retractable landing gear, and the Type 18 was one of its later variants. The I-153 Chaika was a biplane with a gull upper wing and retractable landing gear, that is a type that supplemented the I-16 at the same period. The Japanese Ki-27, by contrast, was a monoplane with fixed landing gear, light and extremely nimble.
On the biplane, think the layout of the struts and rigging through before you assemble the wings; apply liquid cement for plastic in small amounts. Paint the cockpits of all three machines before the fuselages are closed. Seal the surface with a gloss coat before the decals and finish it after they have dried according to the subject.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
