An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Panavia Tornado GR.1 combat aircraft in 1:72 scale from the German maker Revell, supplied as a starter set (Model Set). Besides the model itself you will find a set of paints, glue, a brush, decals and instructions in the package, so it is an ideal complete start for beginning modelers and a gift as well. The model offers movable wings with a variable sweep angle, a detailed cockpit with an ejection seat and a rich load of external stores.
The Panavia Tornado was a multirole combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed in cooperation between Great Britain, Germany and Italy. The GR.1 version served with the RAF as a strike and reconnaissance machine capable of low-level flight in all weather; it became famous for its service in the Gulf War in 1991.
Glue the plastic parts with modeling cement for plastic and sand the joints down once they have dried. Apply primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal for the large areas, while the paints enclosed in the set will serve with a brush for the details. Leave the movable wings free until the build is finished, so that the stores underneath can be painted properly. Gloss varnish under the decals will prevent the silvering effect.
The model is supplied unassembled. With this starter set, the paints, the glue and the brush are included in the package.
