Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet ZiS-5V truck in 1:72 scale from PST. The letter V in the designation belongs to the simplified wartime form, which came about because of a shortage of material and time. The model is therefore a typical vehicle of wartime columns and suits figures and vehicles of the same scale.
The ZiS-5 was a Soviet three-ton truck which formed the basis of transport from the 1930s on and became the most numerous Soviet truck of the Second World War. The wartime ZiS-5V version simplified production radically: the cab was made of wooden sections and plywood, the fenders were welded from flat sheet, and the vehicle made do with a single headlight. The design was simple, robust and stood up to poor roads and low-grade fuel, which made it a mainstay of supply on every front. ZiS-5 vehicles and their bodies ran for a long time after the war as well.
Dry-fit the frame and the axles so that the vehicle stands level. Spray the wooden cab and the cargo bed with a light base first and only then build the wood up in thin layers of brown tones, pulling the structure out with a dry brush if you wish. Leave the sheet-metal fenders in the olive shade instead, with mild wear on the edges. Build the dust on the wheels and the underside with pigment from below, then pull the engraved seams of the bed out with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
