Revell 301 White is a modeling paint, not a kit. It is a synthetic enamel (solvent-based) paint from the Revell Email Color range, no acrylic at all: it is thinned with Revell Color Mix thinner or with mineral spirits and is applied by brush and by airbrush alike. The shade corresponds to RAL 9010.
You will not tell the difference by the shade but by the degree of sheen. Revell sorts its shades by surface, and the numbers of the 3xx series denote a silk matte, that is a satin surface, the intermediate step between wholly matte and fully gloss. The whites under lower numbers represent the gloss and matte variants of the same shade. In practice satin is the most versatile of all: it does not shout with gloss like a lacquered white, but neither does it drink the light like a matte one, it takes decals well and you can work sensibly with washes on it.
Reckon with the fact that white has the poorest coverage of all colors. Do not try to hammer it down in one heavy coat, because it will flood the detail and still show through. Apply several thin coats instead, with a sufficient pause between them, and work on a light base (a white or light gray primer), which will speed the coverage up markedly. Straight onto dark plastic or a dark base you will get white into decent shape only with great difficulty.
For modelers who want one all-round white for most of their work, from aircraft through cars to figures and accessories. An enamel paint stays wet longer, so it flows out nicely under a brush and leaves fewer brush marks.
A flammable liquid. The vapors irritate the airways, so make sure the space is well ventilated and use respiratory protection when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children.
