An ICM acrylic paint set put together for the finishes of French armored vehicles of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of acrylic modeling paints from ICM, put together so as to cover the finishes of French armored vehicles of the Second World War. The shades are chosen to go together, so there is no need to hunt for individual colors across several ranges and mix your own ratios. They can be used outside this subject as well; the set makes sense anywhere muted earthy tones are called for.
French armored vehicles did not carry the uniform finish known from other armies of the time. Multicolor camouflage of green, ocher and brown areas was common, and on many vehicles the individual areas were additionally separated by a dark outline. That is exactly why it pays to have the shades ready in advance for French subjects, because the transitions between areas are sprayed or painted in one sitting, while the paint can still be worked.
Shake acrylic paints thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles in the bottle. They are applied with a brush and with an airbrush, and the thinning ratio for spraying is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. The surface of the model must be clean and degreased; on smooth plastic the coat holds considerably better over a primer. Spray several thin coats rather than one heavy one; you gain covering power that way and the fine surface relief stays legible. Close the bottles carefully after work and store them in the warm, above freezing.
Only the paint set is supplied. The model, brushes, thinner and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
