Brown Matt Spray (Revell)

A matte brown paint in a spray can from the Revell Spray Color range in a 100 ml package. It is a paint on a synthetic, solvent base that is not thinned with water. The spray is intended above all where you need to cover a larger area quickly and evenly without an airbrush, whether that means the base shade of a model, a base beneath further coats, or terrain and diorama parts. The matte surface takes dry brushing, washes and pigments well, so it is comfortable to work with in the further steps.

Use

• Shake the can thoroughly for at least two minutes before use, so that the pigment is mixed in
• Degrease the surface and rid it of dust; on plastic it pays to spray a filler primer first
• Spray from a distance of roughly 20 to 30 centimeters in a smooth pass, always in several thin coats
• Let the paint set between coats, otherwise it may run and detail on engraved lines may be lost
• Work at ordinary room temperature, as in cold and high humidity the surface goes matte unevenly
• Apply masking tape only to fully cured paint, not merely to a surface that is dry
• After spraying, turn the can upside down and press the valve briefly, so that the nozzle is cleared

Who the paint is for

It suits modelers without an airbrush and also those who have one and want to save time on large single-color areas, on primer coats and on diorama bases. Given the solvent base it is suitable for painting metal and cured plastic as well.

The aerosol is flammable and under pressure. Work in a ventilated space or outdoors, do not inhale the aerosol mist, do not spray toward an open flame, do not expose the can to heat and keep out of the reach of children. Do not mix with water-thinnable acrylics and do not overspray a fresh coat of other chemistry.
