A tungsten carbide scriber blade 0.2 mm wide for restoring panel lines, from the Wing line by DSPIAE. It clamps into a holder and is drawn toward you.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not a knife and not a drill, but a scriber blade for restoring and creating panel lines on a model. It is drawn toward you and it does not gouge the material with a point the way a needle does; it cuts with an edge, so it leaves behind a line with a flat bottom and no raised lip. The 0.2 mm width is fine and matches ordinary paneling.
The blade clamps into a holder and is guided along a metal ruler or a flexible masking template. Make the first stroke without pressure, only to create a guide groove; the following strokes deepen it. Never add pressure, it is the cutting edge that should work, not your hand. Sweep the removed material away with a brush as you go, otherwise it gets pressed back into the line under the blade. Run a fine abrasive paper over the finished line at the end so that the burr on its edges disappears.
A tungsten-based sintered material holds its edge for a very long time, but it is brittle and sideways levering will break it. This is the newer line, with a polished blade surface that slips and skips less, so it forgives a less steady hand too. Wipe the blade after work and store it so that the point rests against nothing.
The blade is supplied on its own, without a model and without paints.
