Acrylic Bases - Oval Pill 25x70mm CLEAR is a gaming base of elongated oval shape measuring 25x70 mm from the Spanish label Green Stuff World, in the clear CLEAR version. The Oval Pill designation describes the shape of an elongated pill with rounded ends. It is not a display base for a display case but a base for play: its outline sets how much room a model takes up on the table and where distances are measured from.
Oval bases suit models that are markedly longer in one direction than in the other, typically mounted or long poses. The elongated outline holds a model steadily and at the same time takes up no needless width, so a rank of such models can be drawn up side by side. In play the same holds as with a circle: the size decides, not the look, and mixing two different formats in one unit is a bad idea.
For players of tabletop battle games and collectors of figures who need the oval format in a precisely given size. Take the shape and the size from the name of the product; the number of pieces in the package and the thickness are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
