Responsibility details are not available.
A photographic publication from the publisher HMH Publications in the Duke Hawkins line. The whole line rests on detailed photographic documentation of one particular type of aircraft and is written with an eye to modelers who need to see what the machine really looks like close up. It is not a kit and not an accessory for a build, but a book which you lay beside a model under construction. This volume is devoted to the light A109 helicopter in Belgian service, including the display team which performed with this type.
The A109 is a light twin-engine multi-purpose helicopter of Italian origin which first appeared in the air at the beginning of the 1970s. In civilian operation it came into its own with rescue services, the police and in VIP transport, and in military service above all for reconnaissance, liaison and light transport. Belgium adopted this type and used it for long years; flying displays with the A109 were a regular part of air days.
For modelers building helicopters, for anyone interested in the history of the Belgian Air Force and for photographers and visitors to air days on whom this type has left a mark. The Duke Hawkins line comes out as a rule in English and the text in it gives way to the pictures, so it can be worked with even without deeper language skills.
It is a printed publication, not a model and not modeling material.
